We are dedicated to putting the best caregivers in the field, so we strongly value education. We offer on-the-job training, continuing education, professional certification opportunities and career growth. All training and certification opportunities are FREE to our caregivers.

New Hire Mentor Program

New caregivers are matched with veteran caregivers through a 90 day program that includes 13 hours of orientation and training. These mentors are an invaluable resource in helping to navigate the initial experience at Focus.

Ongoing Online Training

We offer an online learning forum that has hundreds of courses to choose from.

Diagnosis Specific Certification Program

Caregivers can complete the combination of online modules and classroom training to become certified in multiple areas to gain knowledge and confidence in the care they are providing. As certificates are earned caregivers receive pins for their badge to demonstrate their accomplishments. 

Certified B.E.T.E.R Caregiver Program

Qualified caregivers that become certified in a minimum of eight of the diagnosis specific certifications get the designation of a B.E.T.E.R. (Beyond the ER) Caregiver. This designation allows them to work on the hospital to home cases, which pay a slightly higher rate due to the more involved care.
